Sheikha Fakhra bint Dhiab Al Nahyan Inaugurates International Children’s Fashion Week at Qasr Al Emirates

Abu Dhabi: The Arab world’s first International Children’s Fashion Week was inaugurated at Qasr Al Emirates in Abu Dhabi by Sheikha Fakhra bint Dhiab bin Saif Al Nahyan. The event was organized by renowned Emirati fashion designer Dr. Mona Al Mansouri. According to Al Khaleej, the event was attended by artists, media personalities, ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and several prominent guests.

According to the report, 85 children took part in the fashion show, representing different countries including Russia, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines. The show featured couture, fantasy, and traditional outfits designed by creators from the UAE, Morocco, Oman, Kazakhstan, and Russia, highlighting children’s creativity and cultural diversity.

During the opening ceremony, Sheikha Fakhra bint Dhiab welcomed the guests to Abu Dhabi and thanked the organizers, designers, children, and participants for their contribution to the event. In her address, Dr. Mona Al Mansouri said the purpose of Children’s Fashion Week was not limited to presenting fashion, but also to highlight important humanitarian messages, including support for children fighting cancer, solidarity with children affected by chronic and serious illnesses, introducing different cultures, and promoting the importance of sports for children.

At the conclusion of the event, awards were presented to ambassadors, distinguished personalities, institutional representatives, and children who have bravely faced illnesses such as cancer and muscular weakness. According to Dr. Mona Al Mansouri, the fashion week is an effort to create a platform for cultural and social exchange among children, while highlighting the UAE’s role in hosting global events and promoting tolerance and humanitarian values.
